How to convert SVG to JPG
- Add your SVG files: drop them on the box above, or choose them from your device. You can add up to 20 at once.
- Your browser draws each one to JPG at the width you choose. Nothing is uploaded.
- Download each JPG, or download them all together as a single zip.
What is an SVG?
SVG is a drawing described as shapes and curves, not a grid of pixels. It stays sharp at any size, and Illustrator, Affinity Designer and Figma can open it.
What is a vector, and what is a raster?
A vector is the shapes in an SVG. A raster is the pixels in a JPG or PNG. Tracing turns a raster into a vector by fitting flat shapes to the colours it finds.
How is the picture drawn?
The page draws the SVG onto a canvas at the width you choose and saves that canvas. JPG fills transparent pixels with white and is saved at quality 92. A width that would exceed this browser's pixel limit is reduced, and the page says so.
Questions
Is it private?
Yes. The converter is a page, not an upload: your browser opens each file, draws it and saves the result to your device. No file is sent to creavio or to anyone else, and nothing is stored after you close the tab.
Is the quality kept?
The SVG is drawn at the width you choose: its own size, or 1x, 2x or 4x that size, or a pixel width you type. JPG is saved at quality 92 and transparent areas are filled with white. The total pixels stay within this browser's limit, and the width is reduced when it would not. Each file can be up to 5 MB, and you can add up to 20. If the SVG points at another file, that file is not loaded. Scripts in the SVG do not run.
How many files can I convert at once?
Up to 20 at a time. Download them one by one, or all together as a single zip.
Is there a file size limit?
Each SVG can be up to 5 MB. A larger file shows a message and is not added.
Which browsers does it work in?
Current versions of Chrome and Safari. It uses only features built into the browser, so there is nothing to install.
Can I edit the SVG in Illustrator, Affinity or Figma?
The download is a JPG, not an SVG, so it is pixels. Keep the original SVG if you want to edit the shapes in Illustrator, Affinity Designer or Figma.
