How to use the tool
- Add a photo: drop a JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC or JFIF, or choose one from your device.
- Pick a size. Drag and zoom the crop box until the part you want sits inside it.
- Download a JPG (the default) or a PNG, drawn at the exact width and height you picked. Nothing is uploaded.
What the size means
TikTok's TikTok Studio help page, read 26 October 2026, says uploaded videos must be in MP4 or WebM file format, 720x1280 resolution or higher, up to 30 minutes in length and less than 10 GB. TikTok Creator Academy says you can upload videos up to 60 minutes long in 720p or higher, up to 10 GB. The two TikTok pages differ, so this page shows both as stated.
TikTok For Business advises formatting your video to the 9:16 aspect ratio. TikTok publishes no 1080 x 1920 size. 1080 x 1920 is 9:16 at 1080 wide, worked out, and Creator Academy asks for 1080p or higher for Creator Rewards.
Questions
Is it private?
Yes. The crop runs in your browser. No file is sent to creavio or anyone else, and nothing is stored after you close the tab. The HEIC decoder downloads once, the first time you add a HEIC photo.
Can I crop a video here?
No. The tool crops photos. Use it for a still or a cover image in the 9:16 shape. To turn a MOV into an MP4, use the MOV to MP4 converter.
Which browsers does it work in?
Current versions of Chrome and Safari. It uses only features built into the browser, so there is nothing to install.
HEIC decoding uses heic-to and libheif, free software licensed under the GNU LGPL 3.0. They are included unmodified as a separate file, loaded only when you add a HEIC photo. The source code is at the links above.
