Embedding Galleries
Embed your creavio galleries on external websites, blogs, and social platforms.
Want to showcase your work on your own website or a blog post? creavio's embed feature lets you drop a fully interactive gallery into any webpage using a simple code snippet.
Generating an Embed Code
Open any published collection and click Share → Embed. creavio generates an iframe snippet that you can copy and paste into your website's HTML. The embed code looks like this:
<iframe src="your-gallery-url" width="100%" height="600"></iframe>
Adjust the height value to fit your page layout. The width is set to 100% by default so the gallery fills its container.
Customizing the Embed
Before copying the code, you can configure the embedded gallery's behavior:
- Show/hide header — toggle the collection title and your branding
- Grid columns — choose 2, 3, or 4 columns for the thumbnail layout
- Background color — match your website's background for a seamless look
- Enable/disable downloads — control whether viewers can download from the embed
Where to Embed
The embed code works on any platform that supports HTML iframes:
- WordPress — paste into a Custom HTML block
- Squarespace — use a Code Block in the page editor
- Wix — add via the HTML iframe widget
- Blog posts — embed in the HTML view of your editor
Responsive Behavior
Embedded galleries are fully responsive. They adapt to the container width and work on mobile devices just like standalone galleries. Clients can swipe, favorite, and download directly from the embedded view.
Privacy Considerations
If the source collection is password-protected, the embed will also require a password. If the collection expires, the embed will show the expiration message. All privacy settings carry over to the embedded version.
Gallery embedding is available on the Pro plan and above.
